its my due date

Today is my due date and here we are HOME and still preggo!! I went to the liquor store today and bought some wine coolers and sprite. Had 1/2 of an Italian sub with hots and 1/2 of a wine cooler/sprite combo. My gram swears that wine coolers put her into labor 3 times,so we will see.

Yesterday I cried because we didnt have grapes and I wanted some.

Maybe my water will break tonight.

induction date

Today I had my 40w appt. I'm thinned out and towards the front? Not dilated and getting checked ISN'T fun. OB said the baby is in the 63% and is looking good, will probably weigh around 8- 8.5lbs (yea right). He was 8lbs on Friday. My bp today was 144/82- however this OB wasn't worried...
I drove to Worcester a 40min ride each way to try a labor inducing cream cheese, it was on the news! http://www.ericscafeworcester.com/radio.html so we will see.

A list of events coming up:
Wednesday June 30- MY DUE DATE
Thursday JULY 1 (not JUNE) NST and bp monitoring at OB's office

Tuesday JULY 6 *9am* (again not JUNE)I am going to the hospital to start induction. We are starting with cervadil to ripen the cervix. Depending on how I react I will either stay or leave that night. If I leave then I go back on Wednesday.

Wednesday JULY 7- start pitocin if not in labor from cervadil.

My fingers are still crossed I go NOW, so we will see.

I'm not telling everyone the induction date, and not posting on FB until after the babe is born.

39w 3days

Still pregnant,I have 4 days until my due date. Tonight is a full moon so fingers crossed.

Baby news: My bp continues to be in the high range and after a 24hr pee test it has been determined that I do have protein in my urine. The pre eclamsia starts at 300 and I'm at 288, so we are being monitored. Had a hypertension ultrasound yesterday- they checked fluid, placenta, kidneys, cord and other things and the baby passed, YAHOO. Baby is weighing about 7lbs 15oz she said give or take 15oz, so I'm trying to realistic and not surprised when Mikey comes out at 9lbs. I have an appt Monday afternoon (with a different OB) mine is on vacation :( Fingers crossed we talk about being induced this week. I want to be induced on Thursday 7/1, so the baby will be here 7/2. We will see :)

Buddy had surgery on Wednesday and is recovering nicely. I think hes a big faker-since after being home for 1 day he tried to jump on the couch. Hes been crying like a BRAT, we think cause he wants to be on the couch and running around. However we'd like his new $2,000 knee to heal some more before the running and jumping 5yr old 'puppy returns'.

Yesterday I had a crappy pedicure and ended up writing the company a letter cause I was soo pissed(doesn't help that I'm 100 months preggo). Here is a recap of what I wrote on the bump about my experience: had an appt at 1:30 for a pedicure, something I was SOOO looking forward to. I have never been there before. At 2:05 the woman came over and had me soak my feet (in reg water not soapy) and went back to her previous client. Didn't say sorry or anything. 10mins later she comes back and does the pedicure. Keep in mind this is a spa, not a mom an pop salon, she does everything that I have had done in the past etc. When she is done with my feet she put my flip flops on- no MASSAGE :( so I speak up and say do you not do massages here? She says yes we do. But your pregnant and I don't want to put you into labor. I explain that I had a pedi last month and still am preggo, my doctor said its okay to pedicures with massages and that I'm due in 5 days and am allowed to 'try' to jump start labor. She agrees and does a fair job. Paints my toes and says your all set. Gets up and greets her next client (who I could tell has been there before) with open arms. I let my toes dry and get up to pay.

I give the receptionist a gift card that I have and she asks "how was it"? I said awful and I wont be coming back. I explain why etc. She asks if I want to speak to the manager but I decline. I ended up giving the worst tip I have ever given $5 on a $45 service. OO well

Gear

Okay little boy, we are ready! I think your gear is super cute and needs to be put to use.

The 3 B's

The 3 B's that are going on in our life right now:

1. Baby is due any day now.

2. Buddy our big baby is scheduled to have knee surgery Wednesday 6/23 at 8am. I'll be 39weeks pregnant. How am I going to handle 2 babies? My DH will be home with us but still- this isn't how I wanted things to go down.

3. Bugs- Ants have taken over our kitchen and we have NO clue where they are coming from. Not awful but still annoying and weird.

According to my gram, timing is everything and it happens for a reason.
I wonder how my bp is now...

high blood pressure

So Tuesday I had an appt with my OB (finally) at 10:10. Went in and I lost 1 pound, yay and discovered I had high blood pressure. I was a little excited for high bp cause it ment possible induction but then I was told how serious it really was and my excitement went away. It was in the dangerous level at 142/80, my norm is 114/60. It is very common in late pregnancy but can be very dangerous. My OB did the doppler- baby's hb was 140, and said I was a fingertip dilated (which means nothing). She quickly put me on the non stress test to see how the baby was reacting to my bp- he was GREAT! Checked my bp again and it was still high. Waited awhile and it finally went down to 117/80. I was there for 2 hours. My OB had me do blood work and I got to take home a 24hr pee test (joy). I was instructed to come back Friday to go over the test results and see where my bp was. Depending on everything we might talk induction.
Until Friday.

37w 5days

Here are some better pics that show really how LARGE I am. Tomm is my 38w appt and I PRAY I've made progress. I have been walking, eating spicy foods and pineapple- the whole nine yards. I might cry if nothing is going on, fingers crossed!!

full term

I'm 37w and its about time! Officially on maternity leave and WAITING for this baby boy to make his arrival. I'm LARGE and SWOLLEN as you can see. I have decided to have an ob deliver me, I cant handle the midwifes earthy crunchy attitudes. They might work for someone but not for me. I actually told one that I thought she was crazy..oops. I'm not dilated or anything fun like that. I've started the old wives tales- pineapple, spicy foods, walking (when it doesn't hurt) I even did this crazy painful thing with my chiropractor yesterday where she strips the enductors on my inner thighs. Sex isn't an option- DH is 100% against it.I told him I was going to rape him and he said he can run faster than me!LOL!!

Apparently 1st timers go late-past their due date. They will induce you at 41-42w. That's insane. I'm all about getting this little guy out by 40w. Soo many people are telling me, he will come when hes ready..blah,blah. However these people haven't experienced what I did to become pregnant and I think they need to shut up. My gram went to church yesterday because I want him out today or Sunday (my ob is on call). I'm waiting..hehe

I have also become very GRUMPY. I CANT wait too meet this little guy. All the gear is ready, clothes are washed, car seat installed- ITS time little man <3

35 weeks

I'm beyond swollen, OMG 90 outside. Luckily I have 7 days left at work, so I can stay inside with my feet up soon.
Friday night I was doing my kick counts and didn't get 10 in 2 hours, called the ob and they had us go to the hospital. Hooked me up to the monitor for 30mins and sent us home. They said he was perfectly healthy and maybe I was a little dehydrated, and that was why I was having trouble feeling him.

Today I'm 34w 6days, but we will call it 35weeks. Had my strep test and it was easy and pain free. Doc checked if anything was going on in there and I'm sealed up. The baby is head down and has dropped a little.

Because I'm a worry wart they are allowing me an u/s next week!! They are calling it a difference in size, I'm measuring at 36weeks. Call it whatever you want, I'm happy to see my little man.

39 days...

Its been awhile and nothing crazy to report. We had our baby shower last Sunday and it was great, I'm soo lucky for my family and friends. We got almost everything we needed for the baby except bottles! haha. This week was spent setting up things, returning and buying. This weekend my husband is installing the car seat (so he can practice- I know how). I think when the seat is in my car- this baby thing will be more real!
I'm getting very large and puffy esp when its hot. I've never been this swollen in my life. I cant sleep and I think the baby has dropped. Next week is my strep b test-I heard its not fun at all :/

Its almost June :)

39 days until June 30, 2010

30 weeks

Baby’s energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin. (Have those kicks and jabs to the ribs tipped you off yet?) Baby is also settling into sleep and waking cycles, though -- as you’ve also probably noticed -- they don’t necessarily coincide with your own. Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments.

Here we are 30 weeks (well tomm) I cant believe it. Some days go fast and others drag. I'm sooo gratful to be pregnant and almost a mommy. However if 1 more person tells me to enjoy my pregnancy I might snap~just saying. I just want to meet the little man, I will be sooo happy once hes here. Safe and sound.

My follow up appt with the midwife since the trip to the hospital. Well it started out 50mins late~not us, her.I brought in my kick count sheet and she said it was okay, better than before. Hes still doing 10kicks in about 1.5hrs, if it goes to 2hrs then I have to call/come in. She went over the u/s and was very pleased with the results,YAY! Then she says "you've gained alot of weight but you look great" in 1 sentence. Ya, that went over well...we go over what I've been eating and she says "thats not alot".hmmm. Something to keep an eye on. Then she brought up seeing a shrink, my husband thinks its because I ask alot of questions. I thought I was sopost to ask questions. Whatever. I smile and dont take her up on her offer. We make the remaining appts and discover the midwife is out of the office when I'm due (yipee), this makes me soo happy cause now shes on my shit list! hahaha

P.S I just read my doctors office online recap of my visit- the friggin N.A put the wrong weight into the computer. I always even though it sucks look at the scale and I know what I weighed, she put in the wrong friggin number. And just to be on the safe side I just weighed myself and its no where near her number. Grrrrr
Oo well, next week I'll say haha when they think I lost weight.

what a week...

Here is a unexpected picture of Mikey on Thursday, the longest day of my life so far...
We had my 28w appt (I was 28w 1 day) on Thursday. Went in to meet with the midwife and the 1st question out of her mouth was is he moving alot? I said no, he moves when he wants to. Well she said I should have called since hes not doing 10 kicks per hour and she wanted to put me on the monitors(stress test). So at this point I start to panic. Before the monitors she does the doppler and his heart rate was 130-140, his norm is 140-150 but that can I change. But it still worried me. She asked the assistant to hook me up to the monitors for 20-30 mins to see his movements and heart rate. Well to make a long story short she was having a hard time keeping the h.r. on the screen (come to find out she had monitor in wrong place). They had me drink some oj (it was warm-yuck) to try and wake him up. It worked a little bit but not what they wanted to see. I figured she was going to tell us to go home and relax and try really had to count kicks. NOPE. She sent us to the hospital :( All I can say is thank god my husband was with me and comes to all of my appts because I couldn't have handled driving or calling him to meet me there. I kinda lost my shit (in the car). So we get there 5min drive from doc office. They hook me up to the test again and clear as day you can hear his heart 140-150's. We are sitting there waiting for the u/s machine to be available and he starts kicking me hard.THANK GOD.
Go go for the u/s and hes dancing in there, playing with his fingers and moving his mouth. Head is down, and ready to go. The fluid is good and cervix is closed and hes a healthy 2pounds 11oz and 28w 3days not 1 day. The placenta is in the front and that is why I'm having issues feeling him. They send us home and that's that. I have a follow up appt Thursday. I have been doing the counts and it takes him 1.5hrs to do 10 instead of 1hr but its better than the 3 a day I was getting.
Thats all for now.

3rd trimester!!

Its official, I'm in the 3rd tri!! Crazy thing to say, and as of next Wednesday I'll be 7 MONTHS PREGNANT!! WOW. Nothing crazy to report. I have decided that I want this baby to come out soon-not now, since hes not done cooking but I cant wait until 6/30. That's just crazy. Hes moving when he wants and I hate it, makes me soo nervous.
We got my new car, I need to take a pic. 2011 honda pilot, very safe and plenty of room. I cant wait to get the car seat, something that is on our registry. And according to my husband I have to wait until after my shower 5/16 to get it if no one else does :( I'll feel soo much better when we have the car seat.
Other than that, I'm boring. I coughed last week and peed my pants, yup I really did. I also tried to weigh my boobs-yup you read that right. It didn't work because I don't have a food scale...I might invest in one!!hahaha
Ohh and I got a super cute shirt for the babe, since out of 9 babies he is the ONLY BOY I figured its fitting! hehe

Our eggplant!!

Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving baby a healthy pink glow. Baby's also soaking up your antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

Where to start- we have been soo busy (maybe too busy) lately!! I'm about 6.5 months pregnant and almost there. I have recently been experiencing braxton hicks contractions (which are like practice contractions). I'm VERY proud of myself for not freaking out and going to the hospital!haha I have developed carpal tunnel and my sicatic nerve is the death of me. And for the 1st time in my life I have FAT ankles. Other than those things I'm okay! And the fact that my MIL told me I've gained too much weight... shes a peach...

Little M is becoming stubborn and will only move when HE wants too, and its driving me nuts. However my hubby and my gram felt him kick last weekend so that was really nice!!
I have a group appt with the ob on tues- I guess what happens is that we get weighed,bp, and do a hb check in private. Then we all go into a room and talk with the ob about concerns etc. The only reason why I'm doing this type of appt is because they are making me take another glucose test. I passed the 1st one (done early cause of PCOS at 16w). This way I can drink the drink while in my group meeting then the lab comes up and draws your blood right there. Sounds easy-- we will see! I pray I pass, the drink isnt bad- kinda like a orange soda with extra sugar.
Today we are going to look for a new car for me, I currently have an 06 rav4. No problems, or recalls (knock on wood). My lease is up and we dont want to continue with toyota just because of everything in the news about them. I think we will get an'10 honda pilot, as long as it drives well. It seats 8, with 3 rows and has a large trunk and has gotten great reviews and has a great trade in value. Fingers crossed.
The weather has been beautiful here and I realize I have missed the sun soo much!! Trying to get outside as much as possible!!

Kate and Courtney- are you on facebook? hehe

Party in Michaels crib!!

Our baby boy has a place to sleep!! I'm so happy with our (my) choice to get this crib, its solid wood and is beautiful. It didnt take my hubby to long to put it together, which is nice.

23 weeks, or maybe 25!!

Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.
Here we are almost 6 months pregnant, OMG!!I had my 22 week appt with the midwife last week and everything is looking good. The baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule, they are going to keep an eye on it but no one is concerned. This week we are going to our hospital tour and meet all the doctors and midwifes- might make it seem more real. The baby is kicking around on his own time, not when I want him too. Every time he kicks I tell my husband to come over and its too late :( Soon enough he will feel him.
The baby's room is cleaned, painted and ready for a crib. The crib and mattress is currently in my hallway---maybe tonight it will get put together.

My grandfather is in the hospital, his heart is acting up. They upped his meds and he is doing well. Should be released this week, fingers crossed.

My mother called me today to yell at me about facebook. She has never been on facebook and pretty much has no clue about the Internet. I guess her cousin (who I'm friends with on fb) called and they were chatting and fb came up. He said I saw that Jess is pregnant and I saw the u/s picture. Well this sent my mother into a panic. She thinks I'm telling the world everything about me. I told her that only my friends can see my info. Shes a wacko. Anyways- I said by the way. Me and the baby are doing well in case you wanted to know, since you never ask. Then I hung up. I cant deal with her.

People are buying things off the registry and its driving me nuts not knowing whos getting what! haha

We think the baby has a name "Michael Benjamin", however this might change but I'm 99% sure it wont...we will see!!

Hello big belly

Here is my belly at 21weeks. OMG its like there is an elephant in there!!haha. Normally I would put the pic of the fruit the bump says the baby is this week, but I figured this was more fun.

Your Baby: Week 21
Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch. This is soo funny cause I definitely just had cake for dinner!

Nothing really new this week- no doctors appts or anything crazy. My back is feeling better, thanks to my new friend the chiropractor! The baby is moving alot- mainly at night. I do however feel bad that I don't exclusively sleep on my left side, its better for the baby. I try but I just end up rolling onto my right side. The ob wasnt concerned so I guess I shouldn't be either.
We did however order our crib, which is very exciting and might make it seem more real. This weekend my hubby is painting Mr.no names room (its a greenish color, he picked it out and I really just wanted the job done more than anything so I agreed!
Here is the crib: we ordered it from walmart.com- and let me say that I'm not a walmart fan but this crib and mattress got great reviews. We picked out the espresso color. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Baby-Mod-Cadence-Crib-with-Bonus-Mattress-Bundle-Espresso/13446867

Last weekend I went bridesmaid dress shopping, yes at 20 weeks. My friend picked out a very pretty dress and it was very reasonably priced $150 for a long dress. I'm in her wedding about 6-8 weeks after the baby is born (depending on when he comes). I figured I'd look at the dress and then decided on what size to order, I was wrong. A woman came over to me with a measuring tape...haha. Kinda embarrassing, but what can you do. My plan was to order the largest size and then get it taken in, I ended up doing that but I had to pretty much convince the sales girls (3 to be exact).haha. It all worked out in the end.
I'm excited for this weekend, I'm going to a friends baby shower- I met her at a book signing about infertility in the fall. It has been really nice talking with someone going threw the same things as me. Some of my friends are soo supportive and others arent, its a little sad but what can you do!!

1/2 way there!!

Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, speaking of the diaper situation... baby's genitals are now fully formed!

Here we are 20weeks pregnant!! Holy shit, that's 5 months!! Things are good, I'm feeling the baby move more!! We registered last week at babies r us-oo what fun. We were there for 1.5hrs and my husband was even picking things out!! Afterwards I cried for a second- I'm just soo happy to be at this point, I cant believe that I have a baby registry. I'm the luckiest girl in the world, I'm so very grateful.
Now we are trying to find a crib, and dresser/changer combo. This is turning out to be a PROJECT!! OO my. We want a good crib, real wood that doesn't cost 1,000. Its crazy.

My back has been killing me, and my sciatic nerve is inflamed. I went to the chiropractor yesterday and I think she helped me. I'm going to give it a few more appts. Fingers crossed it helps. However, I don't mind the pain too much, its all worth it.

I have decided after meeting with my ob the other day that we will be having a midwife deliver me. She seemed annoyed that I was asking questions about my birth plan etc. I know its awhile away but I want to know my options and whats going to happen. I don't think that's too much to ask. She said "don't worry about that now", well I don't want to worry about it at all. I want it figured out!!haha oo well.

18 weeks!!

Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon.

Here we are almost 1/2 threw the pregnancy, I guess the time has gone by fast but 9 months is a LONG time to wait to meet the newest man in my life!! I had my big u/s on Tuesday (17w 6 days. I touched on it briefly but wanted to get a little more into detail. This was a nice appt- no full bladder and its external (on my belly). Like any other appt I was nervous going on, but not as bad as other times. I think its because the baby is moving ALOT :)

Anyways the doc came in, put the gunk on my belly and quickly found the baby. My 1st question is "does he have a hb", she says yes and continues on. I'm not sure why but they didn't put the sound on- I love hearing it, maybe its because they can see it beating? She tells us she is going to check me out before the baby, she looks at the placenta and my cervix and everything is good. For the baby she 1st looks at the baby's profile, makes sure it has a nose bone (checking for markings of downs I think), the baby does!! Then she moves to the head- measures it, then looks at the brain. Tells us everything is growing properly. She then goes to the heart, checks out the 4 chambers and everything is great! The umbilical cord was next, you could see fluid going threw it too the baby, very cool. Next up was the high bone, the tibia? I think that's the name of the bone, not sure why she measured it but I guess its good too. Meanwhile the baby is waving around like a crazy person, moving etc. The doc presses down harder on my belly to try to get him to stop- that didn't work it just hurt me...Somewhere in between all this she checks the spine, she looked extra hard because I told her that I didn't have a AFP4 test (blood test), everything looked great and she said I don't need that test! She looked at the kidneys, gallbladder, lungs and everything was great!! She made sure the baby had skin covering its body, and it does. Since the baby was moving like crazy she told me to walk around, try to pee and come back and maybe the baby would calm down. When I came back he was calm, still awake- playing with its hands but not jumping!! We told her we wanted to know the sex- she ended up getting in a position that was under the baby- and there it was a BOY!! She said his 'goods' looked good and that we have a VERY HEALTHY baby :) We are over the moon.

2 days later, I had my early glucose test. Normally its around 26-28 weeks but since I'm a higher risk (cause of PCOS) I went in early. They give you a drink that looks like a orange soda with more sugar and you sit there and drink it in front of the lab people. You have blood drawn 1hr later. I was soo lucky because my friend called and we chatted for 30 mins or so!! Thanks Ash! I felt a little nauseous, it was wither from the drink or not eating before hand. I had my blood done and went upstairs for my appt with the midwife. This was my 1st appt without my hubby- hes in FL for work, poor baby!! She was running late... the medical assistant who loves me from some reason was chatting with me and decided to rub my belly.hmmm, I don't think she was looking at my face cause she would have stopped. Its weird when people you don't really know touch you- I go into a deer in headlights mode, that's why I don't push them away. If your my friend its perfectly fine to touch me, if not back off please!! I got weighed and had no change, blood pressure was great and that was that. Went into the room and we chatted about the u/s results and she also said the baby is very healthy. Did the doppler, the hb was between 150-160 and the baby was moving alot. I told her that I have been having pains in my belly (to the point of tears) and she thinks its gas- I think shes right. She told me to take colace to help with another problem...
Everything was good and I went on my way. The next morning I got an email from the midwife that my glucose test came back and was great. They wanted the # to be under 139 and it was 114. I'm however going to repeat it at 28 weeks just to be on the safe side. I don't have to do the 3hr, thank god!!

My hubby comes home today so that's very exciting, is soo weird sleeping alone. Well I do have Buddy but its weird. We have missed him. Hopefully we can look at the books tonight and figure out a name for this baby. I hate not having a name for him, its driving me NUTS. I want to register next week or the following- target and babies r us.

Other GREAT news- my boss told me that after maternity leave I can come back and bring the baby :) Hooray

A healthy baby...

OMG, today was amazing!! My appt was @ 3:30 but I called and got in early @ 1:40, yay me! The baby is big and moving around like crazy- you'd think I had a soda before hand they way it was acting!! The doc looked at everything, every organ and bone etc, it was soo nice. Everything looked perfect, we have a healthy baby on the way. The baby was moving sooo much that she wasnt sure if we were going to be able to get a look at the goods. I ended up walking around for a few minutes and trying again. The baby decided it needed to rest its body- however still playing with its hands!! She got an angle under the bum and there it was- clear as day!! A baby BOY!! A heathy baby BOY!! I have a bunch or pics that I need to scan!!

Happy Tuesday!!

Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.

Todays the day!! We have our big ultrasound at 3:30 and they always run late so I'm thinking we wont be out of there until 5! This whole pregnancy and before I was pregnant I thought it was a boy..but yesterday and today I'm kinda thiking girl! I really dont care- as always I'm looking for a strong hb and a heathly baby. I think that I'm feeling the baby move around- its not like a punch or kick but moving. It feels like a fish is swimming in my belly. Soo cool!!
Updates later :)

YaY TaRgEt!!

I went to target today to see if they had some of the baby items I found online in the store (stroller, and infant car seat). Nope. But I was looking at the bedding section and it was a complete disaster- pretty much everythings on clearance. I have been eyeing this girls bumper for ages now and it was on sale: $13.88!! shower buisness

A few weeks ago my MIL started talking about my baby shower, come to find out its going to be at my SIL's house. SO one would think that my SIL would be in charge-nope not the case. Maybe shes not because she works, has a baby etc? Anyway, I was told by my MIL to make a list of people and email her. OKay. Then she said we are planning on having it like Anns (SIL) it was like a tea party. Not up my ally to be honest. I told her I didnt eat anything at that shower because I didnt like the types of tea sandwiches. And if you dont know what a tea sandwiche is: hold out your pinky finger and there is the size, add some mayo and a veggie and thats that. Hmmm no thanks. She then told me: well your a very picky eater and not everyone is like you. GRRR. I told her that friends/family have offered to bring HOT foods, the kind where you have a burner. She said we will see. This is why I wanted to pay for my shower- I am picky but it is my 1st baby shower. (well you only get one but you get the idea). I guess time will tell.

Of course I email my gram- who is helping my MIL. Tell her the things I want, and ask her to pretend they are her ideas!hehe!! My mother isnt able to help out. I might sound like a brat but I'll pay for things so it shouldnt matter. I want printed invitations, and my pretty pretty cake!! Look at this pretty cake. The color will change if its a girl.

I'm going to ask friends if they have any tables/chairs we can borrow. My friend Jackie has offered her tent! Yahoo! The shower will be one of 3 dates. 4/10, 4/11 and 5/8. MArk your calendar :)

4 months pregnant!!

Well I popped!! This week the baby is the size of an avocado- however it kinda looks like there are 500 avocados in there! haha!

Last night we had our 2 week check up with the midwife, our appt was 6:30. We got there and there was no one in the waiting room. Yay, my husband even said I bet we will get in early-haha he jinxed us. At about 6:45 a man and his mother came out and took a seat, they were talking loud so naturally I listened. His wife was in with the midwife and was pregnant and dehydrated. We werent sure why his mom was there... So a few minutes later a young, pretty girl came out and sat with the mom while her hubby made her follow up appts. Weird. He kept on coming back and forth to see if the appt worked for the wife and the mom. Come to find out the wife speaks 4 words of english. Ahh we figured it out-shes a mail order bride. There is no other way she would be with this guy and his mom. We finally get called in @ 7:05.

Midwife comes in- there are 4 or 5 midwifes and I'm sopost to see all of them but because of the schedules I keep getting Suzanne. Anyway she knows that I like the doppler 1st apposed to the end of the visit. She does it right away and there it is clear as day the heart beat, a strong heart beat!! I cry, I always do. Its the most amazing sound to hear. Then we hear swooshing-she said its the baby moving and wow the baby is active. The baby is doing flips! SHe said its very good! YAY!
I've been having lower back pain, I guess its normal in pregnancy. You can see in the pic that my back is now curved. She gave me some exercises to help with the pain, I might end up going to a chriopractor if I find a good one!

On 1/26 we have our big ultrasound. They look at everything on the baby, its about 45 minutes. And if we are lucky we will find out the sex!! I'm still thinking team blue but I dont care, I just want the baby to be super healthy. Two days after that appt is my gluclose test to see if I have gestational diabetes, they are doing it early beacuse I'm higher risk with my PCOS. After I drink the gross drink I have an appt to go over the results of the ultrasound. I think after my u/s and gluclose test I'll retire my lucky outfit, I've been wearing the same out to all of my appts!!

Happy New Year!

Look who's an avocado!!

Watch what you say... tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender.

Happy New Year!! Its alittle late but I'm a total slacker. I'm feeling good but still tired, and nauseous all the time. I'm trying to be a 'normal pregnant person' whatever that is. I tried prenatal yoga and I was by far the worst yoga person in America! haha, seriously the teacher came over 1000 times to tell me I was doing things wrong. But I'm not throwing the towel in yet, I'm going again. Esp since its free at the maternity store. I also used my organic nail polish from a friend thanks friend!!- See I'm getting normal... I finally got rid of my IVF containers and one of the babies pics went from the fridge into a super cute picture frame that says "baby to bee" with a pic of a bee. Thanks Ash!! I also got a baby journal from my friend, thanks Jackie!! I've been slacking on that too. Even though I'm a slacker on most things I did 'help' a friend get pregnant! Well not really but she rubbed my belly and the next day she got her BFP! I'm good luck!

Speaking about rubbing my belly- people are touching me like I'm their BFF. I dont mind if people I know do it. But strangers or people we dont really see need to back off. I'm going to get a shirt from etsy that says "can't touch this". People are soooo weird. When my friends were pregnant I asked before I touched or only did it if they offered.
